They'll always be the special wedding guest!

We believe it's an essential part of the wedding day to invite your dog to your wedding and here's why (I mean, it would be rude to after finding out these reasons!):

The Emotional Impact of Including Your Dog

Having your dog at your wedding can significantly enhance the emotional atmosphere. According to a study by The American Kennel Club, around 97% of pet owners consider their dogs a vital part of their family. This connection translates into heartwarming photo opportunities - just imagine the photos!

Wedding Planning for Your Furry Friend

Planning ahead is crucial when including your dog in your wedding. First, ensure your venue is pet-friendly, as many locations have specific policies regarding animals. If your venue allows dogs, make a detailed plan for transportation and accommodations, so your pet is comfortable and safe. We offer a wedding chaperone service from on the day to an extra 2 nights to ensure we got it all covered.

Choosing the Perfect Role for Your Dog

Consider how you want your dog to participate in your wedding. Here is our two favourite roles:

  • Ring Bearer: Train your dog to carry the rings down the aisle. Picture the smiles on your guests' faces as your dog walks gracefully toward you, making for a charming moment.

  • Flower Dog: Attach a small basket filled with flower petals to your dog’s collar. As they meander down the aisle, they can sprinkle petals, adding a whimsical touch to the ceremony.

What do you think you'll go for?

Selecting Dog-Friendly Attire

Dress your dog in attire that matches your wedding theme. Options range from dapper bow ties to charming floral collars. Ensure that whatever you choose is comfortable and allows your dog to move freely. A well-fitted outfit not only looks great in photos but also keeps your pet happy. Make sure to book into a groomer's prior and we're happy to collect them en route.

Create a Cozy Space

Set up a designated pet-friendly area at your venue. This space should include a comfortable bed, fresh water, and some of your dog’s favorite toys. Studies suggest that familiar items can help reduce anxiety in dogs by up to 40%, making it easier for them to adjust to a busy environment.

Considering Your Guests

While it’s wonderful to include your dog, keep your guests' comfort in mind. They might be a wonderful ice breaker for your different friendship groups and family to mingle.
